DC-2HPD High Power Voltage Doubler

This device is designed to work in conjunction with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for 240V 3-phase motors, using a 120Vac power line as the input. The module is responsible for converting the 120Vac power to 335Vdc, which can be fed into the VFD to power the 240V motors. Instead of employing a step-up power transformer, this unit effectively doubles the voltage to 335Vdc, matching the DC voltage produced by rectifying and filtering capacitor from 240Vac. The resulting 335Vdc is then directly supplied to the VFD inputs L1 and L2.

This device is capable of handling motors with a power rating up to 2 horse power capacity. An NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) inrush current limiter is integrated to prevent rapid charging of capacitors upon initial power-up.

Note:  Make sure there is no internal cooling fan builtin VFD. The cooling fan may need the 240Vac to operate.
